Laser Hair Removal

GentleLASE™

We proudly use the GentleLASE 755™ nm alexandrite laser by Candela.  It is used for hair removal, treating pigmented lesions such as sun spots, age spots, freckles, wrinkles, melasma and café-au-lait and treating vascular lesions such as hemangiomas, venous lakes and blue facial veins.  This laser is ideal for lighter skin types, but can also be used on darker ones.  This laser is very fast, possessing the largest spot size and fastest repetition rate found on any hair removal laser.  The GentleLASE also possesses a unique patented skin cooling device to ensure your safety and comfort.  For hair removal, this laser is unparalleled.

Gentle YAG

The Candela Gentle YAG 1064 nm laser is versatile enough for use on all skin types, but is best suited for use on tan or darker skin.  This laser is best suited for permanent hair removal but can also be used to help eliminate “beard bumps,” for skin rejuvenation, tightening and for treating facial and leg veins.  This laser also uses Candela’s patented skin cooling system, making treatments fast, safe and comfortable.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photofacial

Using the Palomar MediLux™ laser we perform Photofacials for pigmented and vascular lesions as well as for the treatment of acne and rosacea.  Intense Pulsed Light treatments help to eliminate problems such as skin redness, pregnancy masks, dark spots and visible sun damage.  A multi-frequency light is targeted and plused at any red pigment (hemoglobin) in the blood which heats and destroys the pigment without affecting the skin or other tissue.  The pulsed light also targets melanin and destroys it, eliminating skin discoloration.  IPL also shrinks and tightens large pores, increases blood flow and encourages new collagen production.  While IPL treatments can be used as a form of hair removal, better results are typically seen using it for skin discolorations such as age spots, sun spots, facial veins, melasma, rosacea and acne.

Fractional Skin Resurfacing

Non-Ablative Fraxel

The Palomar Lux1540™ Fractional non-ablative laser uses an array of high-precision microbeams to target aging and damaged tissue, penetrating the epidermis and the dermis and eliminating old pigmented cells.  Since it only targets pigmented or damaged cells, the surrounding healthy tissue remains unaffected and speeds the body’s natural healing process and stimulates the production of new collagen to aide in the formation of tighter, younger looking tissue. This laser allows little to no downtime in recovery and very minimal redness or discomfort during and after the procedure due to its unique cooling sapphire tip that cools the skin before, during and after each pulse.  Fractional skin resurfacing with this laser improves skins tone, texture and pore size, erases unwanted brown spots, smoothes acne and surgical scaring, removes fine lines and wrinkles and rejuvenates the skin of the face, neck, chest, hands and arms.  For the ultimate in a new you look, schedule a consultation for fractional skin resurfacing.  Three treatments are usually recommended for optimal results.

Ablative DOTS

The Palomar Lux2940™ Fractional Ablative laser, commonly referred to as DOTS, is designed for a more intense form of Fractional Skin Resurfacing.  These treatments are relatively fast and have a minimal downtime afterward of 2-3 days.  One treatment is all that is needed for optimal results, often making it more convenient for those who want serious results quickly.  This laser will actually remove the top layers of epidermis, improving tone, texture, pore size, tightening skin, eliminating brown spots, smoothing scars and eliminating any fine lines and wrinkles.

Thermage®

The ThermaCool TC™ is used for our Thermage® “Tissue Contraction” procedures.  Thermage® is a skin tightening treatment, a non-invasive face-lift used to tighten loose, sagging skin.  Radiofrequency (RF) heats the dermis while cooling and protecting the epidermis, causing the dermis to contract and tighten and stimulating the production of new collagen over time.  Typically this procedure requires no downtime and causes only minimal redness that dissipates quickly.  A topical anesthetic is used prior to the treatment to minimalize discomfort.  Depending on your body’s aging process, the effects of this treatment may last 6 months to several years.
